Overshot puts in a frequent appearance around here for good reason: it's beautiful, versatile, and traditional patterns have fabulous names (think "Young Lovers' Knot," "Burgoyne Surrounded," or, in this case, "Fish in the Pond"). It's easy to design new patterns, too: one of my most popular commission orders is custom "name draft" pillows with an overshot pattern based on a hidden word or message.
Overshot is also the perfect canvas for showcasing a special skein of yarn—and this one is perhaps the most special I've yet to weave with, because I spun it myself! I learned to spin last summer at the Flock Fiber Festival in Seattle, and have been working my way up to something worth weaving with ever since.

Please note that our weaving studio has a feline occupant. While everything is washed and kept away from Miss Cordelia and her voluminous floof after finishing, if you have severe cat allergies you may consider washing your item again before use.
